The Nine House Posts
The house-post or cléithe was the main supporting structure of ancient Irish dwellings, and it was said to have metaphysical or cosmological associations. These nine ‘house-posts’ or fundamental elements and principles are what we believe to be the supporting structures of Gaelic Polytheism and its practice.

02. Fír (Truth; Justice) – that which is indisputably just and right, and which governs cosmological, natural, and human institutions and interactions; the strive to live in accordance with it.
03. Dírgas (Righteousness; Uprightness) – the timeless ethics, virtues and principles that our ancestors exalted and honored; adopting, applying, and living true by those ethics, virtues, and principles.
04. Cairdes (Friendship; Alliance/ Pact; Kinship; Sponsorship) – the dutiful maintenance of relationships and arrangements with the gods, ancestors, and land spirits.
05. Teglach (Family; Household) – a strong concern for family and family values; strengthening the foundational unit of community and society.
06. Cethardúil (Cosmos; Universe; Nature) – recognizing the world as supported and encompassed by the “the blue sky, the beautiful sea, the present earth;” living in harmony with our land and its local divinities.
